Susan Brown

Susan oversees our firm’s personal injury department. Susan earned a B.S. degree from Florida State University, and her J.D. degree with Honors (1999) from the University of Florida College of Law where she received the Book Award in Legal Drafting, served as a Teaching Assistant in Appellate Advocacy and Legal Research and Writing, and was awarded a Trial Advocacy Scholarship for winning a written competition.

Susan is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. Additionally, Susan has argued and won cases in both the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Susan belongs to the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association.

Throughout her legal career, Susan has focused her practice primarily on insurance litigation, serving as counsel for both plaintiff and defense.

Even before becoming an attorney, Susan worked as an insurance adjuster handling worker’s compensation and bodily injury claims until being recruited to work for the state’s largest personal injury firm, which is where she decided to pursue her law degree. Susan’s experience handling cases both for and against insurance companies affords her with the ability to represent clients from the onset of their case until its conclusion, via litigation or settlement, while considering all sides of a case.
