Carlos D. Cabrera

Carlos D. Cabrera is a trial and appellate attorney with a broad range of experience in civil matters.

He has represented individuals, small businesses and large insurance companies throughout his legal career in many areas, including, but not limited to, personal injury, family law, real estate, employment matters, discrimination claims, civil rights, consumer protection law, condominium law, contract law, legal malpractice claims, commercial disputes, insurance defense, personal injury protection, and appeals.

Mr. Cabrera graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2000 and was the Managing Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review during the 1999-2000 academic year. During law school, Mr. Cabrera was a student member of The Hon. Peter T. Fay American Inn of Court.

Mr. Cabrera was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2000 and has been a member in good standing since. He is admitted to practice in all State Courts of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Mr. Cabrera has been recognized as a Florida Legal Elite and has also received Lead Counsel rating in Civil Appellate matters.

Mr. Cabrera has also spoken at seminars and been a guest speaker on radio. In 2016, Mr. Cabrera was a guest speaker on the Legal News and Review Radio Show speaking on the topic of Personal Injury and Appellate Law. He has also spoken at several Claims Management Seminars on several topics, including fraud claims in PIP litigation and insurance adjuster ethics, and has spoken at several seminars on first-party property insurance claims and PIP matters.

Since the beginning of his legal career, Mr. Cabrera has been involved in a number of professional associations, including American Bar Association, Miami Beach Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, and Gay and Lesbian Lawyers Network.
